Tunde Oyeneyin

Meet Tunde

A storyteller on the bike, on the page, and on stage, Tunde Oyeneyin uses movement and meaningful conversation to help people live with more courage and clarity.

Early Life & Roots

Born to Nigerian parents and raised in Texas, Tunde grew up straddling cultures and expectations. She spent much of her early life feeling unseen and underestimated, especially when it came to traditional beauty standards and athletic spaces.

Those experiences shaped her desire to create spaces where people of all backgrounds and body types feel powerful, seen, and celebrated.

From Makeup Artist to Movement Leader

Before joining Peloton, Tunde worked for more than a decade as a professional makeup artist and brand educator, collaborating with major cosmetics companies and bringing her artistry to red carpets, runways, photoshoots, and everyday clients who wanted to feel like their most confident selves.

Her move into fitness started as a personal transformation. What began as a way to rebuild her own relationship with her body quickly became a calling to teach. Today, as a Peloton cycling and strength instructor, Tunde is known for high-energy playlists, honest coaching, and mantras that stay with riders long after class ends.

Grief, Resilience & the S.P.E.A.K. Framework

After losing several close family members in a short period of time, Tunde turned to therapy, community, and movement to navigate grief. Out of that season came the framework that now shapes her work: S.P.E.A.K. — Surrender, Power, Empathy, Authenticity, and Knowledge.

What began as a live conversation series on social media has evolved into a global movement that invites people to sit with hard truths, have uncomfortable conversations, and choose courage over comfort.

New York Times Bestselling Author

Tunde’s debut book, Speak: Find Your Voice, Trust Your Gut, and Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be, became a New York Times bestseller and introduced the S.P.E.A.K. framework to readers around the world.

In Speak, she shares pivotal moments from her own life — struggles with body image, career pivots, family loss, and milestones on the bike — and offers practical tools for anyone ready to move through fear and into purpose.
